Each object on this page was produced in a single copy, and each one of them has it’s own original composition and implementation. They were created on hand-woven linen or cotton cloth with a combination of hand-printing and pochoir. If compared with the richness of golden embroidery, this technology is more humble, but it has an expressive power of its own. The varied interwoven texture of the fabric creates a play of light and shadow on the surface, and a little unevenness of the print emphasizes the materiality of the objects. Oil paint and fabric paint, used on these objects have high durability, reliable enough to be used daily.
