Fresco sketch for apse mural decoration

This truefresco sketch was created as a project for the main altar apse decoration in Assumption church (Lez'je-Sologubovka, St. Petersburg Region, Russia). The monumental forms of the image correspond to the large architectural space of the central apse and work as the central sacred image and focal point for all the church building. Practically, the truefresco with the image of Holy Virgin would continue the cupola decoration, created in this church by Sacred Murals Studio.

Sketch size is 100 X 80 cm, now it is situated in the refectory of New Martyrs And Confessors Of Russia Church, - our parish church in St. Petersburg (Russia).
